Höfuðstöðin is an art and culture center in Reykjavík, Iceland that permanently displays the large-scale multi-sensory installation Chromo Sapiens by Shoplifter / Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir. Höfuðstöðin also features a design shop, café & bar with outdoor seating and the space can be rented for private events.

Experience the large-scale, immersive installation Chromo Sapiens by Icelandic artist Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir / Shoplifter. The installation invites you to explore your inner landscape through the stimulation of the senses. Afterward, you have a seat in our lounge area where you will have a drink and create your own souvenir to take home.
Please note Create Your Own Souvenir requires a pre-booking and it is available every day except Saturdays.
